ONE WORLD PERSONAL DATA PROCESSING DISCLOSURE STATEMENT

Your security and the privacy of your personal life have always been among our priority values at One World. As a result of the legal regulation on information security — a matter we treat with great sensitivity — Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data, enacted to protect the fundamental rights and freedoms of individuals and to safeguard personal data, has come into force, and we would like to inform you about the scope of this law.

a) Data controller and representative

Pursuant to Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (the "PDP Law"), your personal data may be processed by the data controller, One World, within the scope described below.

b) The purposes for which personal data will be processed

Your personal data may be collected by automated or non-automated methods — by our company and, on our company's behalf, by our sales unit and our other branches — through the website, social-media channels, mobile applications, the camera system present for security reasons during your visits to our company, and similar means, verbally, in writing or electronically.

The personal data collected will be processed within the personal-data-processing conditions and purposes set out in Articles 5 and 6 of the PDP Law, for the following purposes: ensuring the legal and commercial security of our company and of persons who have a business relationship with our company; carrying out the work needed by the relevant units of our branch so that you can benefit from the products and services offered by our company; planning and implementing the activities necessary to customise, recommend and promote the training services offered by our company according to the needs and requests of the relevant persons; conducting and planning the activities required for the sale and marketing of the services; carrying out student-relations processes; evaluating requests; providing the training services within our field of activity; carrying out invoicing and collection transactions towards the customer; reporting individuals' progress during the training process; establishing our company's commercial relationships and determining and implementing business strategies; and ensuring the conduct of our company's education policies. In addition, your personal data may be processed within the scope of Articles 5 and 6 of the PDP Law, in accordance with the Law and secondary regulations and to the extent necessary, where the establishment and performance of a contract, the fulfilment of the company's legal obligations, or the processing of data being mandatory for the company's legitimate interests (provided it does not harm the data subject's fundamental rights and freedoms) so require.

c) To whom and for what purpose the processed personal data may be transferred

The necessary personal data belonging to you is shared, for the purpose of carrying out the services, with our company's domestic and/or international business partners, shareholders and the organisations we cooperate with, and — without being limited to these — with the persons and organisations related to the service provided.

Therefore, our company may process your personal data in the manner set out in the PDP Law, together with persons, institutions and organisations authorised by our laws and those permitted to process data within the applicable legislation, as well as with our company and other relevant persons and organisations, in order both to fulfil the obligations arising from the legislation to which our company is subject and to provide you with a better service.

ç) The method and legal basis of collecting personal data

Your personal data is collected by our company through different channels (verbally, in writing, or electronically via e-mail, the relevant website, online placement tests, face-to-face meetings at our branch, telephone calls and similar means; through the camera system present for security reasons during your visits to our company and other branches; and through our sales-marketing unit) and on different legal grounds, for the purpose of carrying out our educational and/or commercial activities. The personal data collected on this legal basis may also be processed and transferred for the purposes stated in paragraphs (b) and (c) of this text, within the personal-data-processing conditions and purposes set out in Articles 5 and 6 of the PDP Law.

d) The rights of the personal-data subject listed in Article 11 of the PDP Law

As personal-data subjects, if you submit your requests regarding your rights to our company by the methods set out below in this Disclosure Statement, our company will conclude the request free of charge as soon as possible and within thirty days at the latest, depending on the nature of the request. However, if a fee is envisaged by the Personal Data Protection Board, the fee in the tariff determined by our company will be charged. In this context, personal-data subjects have the right to:

  • learn whether their personal data is being processed;
  • request information about this if their personal data has been processed;
  • learn the purpose of processing their personal data and whether it is used in accordance with that purpose;
  • know the third parties to whom their personal data is transferred, domestically or abroad;
  • request the correction of their personal data if it has been processed incompletely or inaccurately, and request that the transaction carried out in this context be notified to the third parties to whom the personal data has been transferred;
  • request the deletion or destruction of their personal data where the reasons requiring its processing have ceased to exist, even though it has been processed in accordance with the PDP Law and other relevant laws, and request that the transaction carried out in this context be notified to the third parties to whom the personal data has been transferred;
  • object to a result arising against the person themselves through the analysis of the processed data exclusively by automated systems;
  • request the compensation of the damage in the event that they suffer damage due to the unlawful processing of their personal data.

The camera recordings taken for security reasons during your visits to our company may only be shared where requested through legal channels.
